Thanks to those of you who showed up to the Freshman Social last Wednesday! We apologize for any inconvenience or disappointment that may have resulted from the changes from the barbecue on Thursday up to the social on Wednesday. Next up, we have the Mid-Autumn Festival and Bento Night! Mid-Autumn FestivalWhen: Tuesday, September 29th, 2009 What time: 7:00PM-9:00PM Where: On top of Curran Parking Deck (outside of Woodies) Bento Night When: Saturday, October 10th, 2009 What time: 7:00PM Where: Bento (Meet at Student Center parking lot -- we can provide rides! In shifts!) We hope to see you there! Once again, dues are $15 so if you want a T-shirt as well as free attendance at all future TASA event, bring your dues! Also, if you have not already done so, join our Facebook group! By joining the group, you will be guaranteed to receive event invitations as well as event updates! So join now! Lastly, photos from the Typhoon Fundraiser at CCC on August 23rd and from the Dragon Boat Festival at Lake Lanier on September 12th have been uploaded. You can view them under Fall 09 - Spring 10 in the Photo Gallery! |

To those of you who made it to our first general meeting, thanks for coming out! The event was a great success! The photos from the event have now been posted. You can find them in the Photo Gallery. For those of you who weren't able to make it or want more -- the Freshmen Barbecue will be on Thursday, September 17th from 7:30 to 9. Join our Facebook group for more details and an invitation to the event (when we post it). If you're not a freshman, look forward to the Mid-Autumn Festival event the week of September 28th! We will be telling ghost stories and serving moon cakes! And if you have not yet paid your dues, don't worry! You can pay them at any time, so just bring $15 and pay them to Bryan Yang the next time you come out. |

So the new layout is finally up! And now that the new website is seemingly functional, I can finally update about upcoming deadlines and events T-Shirt Designs

TASA First General Meeting
Our first general meeting is this Wednesday. We don't discriminate! You don't have to be Taiwanese to join. As long as you have an interest in the culture and/or the cuisine, come join us! Bring your friends too because we will be serving bubble tea and teaching and playing Taiwanese games. I hope everyone's dead week isn't too bad yet.. just think TWO MORE WEEKS! Then we're out of here for a nice, relaxing 3 week break. But, before we get there, TASA is hosting a hot pot night open to ALL! It's part of and sponsored by Culture Break so they pretty much gave us money and said, feed people. Or at least that's how we took it (refer to our T-Shirt for 2008-2009).
Apologies for getting the T-Shirt design out so late, but we've all been busy and we originally didn't have a design at all! But they've arrived and we will be bringing them to Hot Pot Night for our members. The design is to the right. Hope you like it! |
